Power Automate for desktop – May 2022 update
We are happy to announce that the May 2022 update of Power Automate for desktop (version 2.20) has been released! You can download the latest release here. New features and updates have been added, as described below.
All types of clicks are now supported in browser automation
The action ‘Click link on web page’ is now enhanced with an extra parameter, called ‘Click type’. This new parameter offers the click options shown below:
The user may set the click type manually, while editing the action in the designer. Apart from the left click option, it is recommended to enable the ‘Send physical click’ parameter for the rest of the click options.
A timeout value is now available for all browser automation actions
Users can now set a timeout value in web automation actions, when the option ‘Wait for page to load’ is enabled. This new parameter is called ‘Timeout on webpage load’ and it comes with a default value of 60 seconds.
Tabular data extracted from a PDF file can now maintain their structure
A new parameter is added in the action ‘Extract text from PDF’ action, under the PDF group of actions. The parameter name is ‘Optimize for structured data’ and when enabled, the action detects the formatted layout in the document and extracts text accordingly, keeping the structure of the data.
Enhanced experience in the console for users with limited permissions
If the signed in user has limited permissions, then some options in the Power Automate for desktop console are not available. An admin can limit user access by reducing the user’s permissions in the “Process” Dataverse table, configuring their respective role accordingly in the Power Platform Admin Center.
GA of ‘Display custom form’ action
The ‘Display custom form’ action has now become generally available for all users.
