Power Automate for desktop – July 2022 update

We are happy to announce that the July 2022 update of Power Automate for desktop (version 2.22) has been released! You can download the latest release here. New features and updates have been added, as described below.

UI automation in a Citrix or RDP virtual desktop is now supported (Preview)

Now in preview, Power Automate for desktop supports UI automation for desktop apps in a Citrix or Microsoft Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) virtual desktop, with the use of a lightweight agent (Power Automate agent for virtual desktops).

This enhances Power Automate’s capabilities, by allowing the user to create desktop flows that perform desktop UI automation related steps on a remote machine, applied to a desktop app that may be used therein.

New datatable actions are introduced in Power Automate for desktop

A new group of datatable dedicated actions is now available, allowing users to easily manipulate datatable variables and go through specific operations.

Flow details are now available in the desktop console

Desktop flows in the console of Power Automate for desktop now come with the relevant flow details, which contain basic information like the description, the owner, the creation and last modification dates and the flow ID.

Detailed release notes will now be available for each new version

As an additional announcement, each new release in Power Automate for desktop will now come with a list of detailed release notes, including the new features, enhancements, improvements and repaired issues that have taken place for that version. The corresponding page is available here and includes all the versions that have been released since the beginning of this year.
