Power Automate for desktop – January 2022 update

We are happy to announce that the January 2022 update of Power Automate for desktop (version 2.16) has been released! You can download the latest release here. New features and updates have been added, as described below.

Restructure of Excel instance functionality to support multiple macros

Users will now have the ability to group Excel instances under a single Excel process. This way, Excel instances will be able to reference multiple macros. The ability to launch isolated instances will also remain available.

Performance improvements in flow designer

This release includes some performance fixes for certain user activities during flow authoring, like adding/deleting/editing/moving an action inside the Main subflow or navigating from one subflow to another.

More performance improvements will be coming in the following release as well.
