A holistic automation platform

We would like to thank you, our customers and community members, for your passion and enthusiasm that has directly translated into our product vision and capabilities. Every day, hundreds of thousands of organizations are automating millions of processes that helps them with their digital transformation. Based on this feedback, we will continue to deliver value across the following themes.

Microsoft offers RPA as a feature within a holistic automation platform that helps bridge the gap between legacy and modern apps and services. It is designed to address the needs of business users that want to automate their own tasks or their workgroups, to the needs of sophisticated developers in the automation centers of excellence with governance and scale challenges. Specifically, Power Automate provides organizations with an intelligent cloud-based automation service that combines RPA with API-based automation, infused with AI. All these capabilities are available in a low-code platform that natively integrates with Microsoft Power Platform, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Office 365, and Microsoft Dynamics 365.

Microsoft continues to invest in expanding its automation capabilities by leveraging our strength in AI, cloud-deployments and productive experiences. In addition, we recently acquired Softomotive, a global provider of robotic process automation (RPA) and the creator of WinAutomation. Softomotive complements and expands Power Automate’s RPA offering and adds new desktop automation capabilities and features such as support for Citrix platforms, rich browser automations, and legacy green screen emulators. Learn more details about the acquisition in the “Microsoft acquires Softomotive to expand low-code robotic process automation capabilities in Microsoft Power Automate” blog post.

We believe that a single automation service as part of an overall low-code platform is critical to help customers meet their business needs. This, in conjunction with our low barrier-to-entry pricing, makes it easier for organizations to expedite their digital transformation journey. We look forward to continuing to partner with customers on this journey together.
