Introducing the Microsoft Forms connector for Flow

This week, we’re excited to announce the Microsoft Forms connector for Flow. Microsoft Forms is a new part of Office 365 Education that allows teachers and students to quickly and easily create custom quizzes, surveys, questionnaires, registrations and more.

Currently in preview, the connector enables you to act whenever a new form response is submitted. You can use both the response and information about the responder in your Flows. This post walks you through a few scenarios that can be enabled using the Forms connector in Flow.

Get Notifications

Using Forms and Flow, you can receive email, push or text notifications when new survey responses are submitted. You can also notify your team by posting the response to your channel on Teams, Yammer or Slack.

Collect Data

You can route the response to your favorite database service or create a new record in Google Sheet or Excel.
\

Act

You can create workflows to automate tasks based on the information received from a user (the responder).

For example, imagine that you create a leave form for folks to submit a time off request. Now you can setup an approval flow that will send an email to management each time a request is submitted. They can then approve or reject this request to process your leave.

As always, we are looking to expand the capabilities of the Forms connector. Please leave your suggestions on our feedback forum. Tell us how you’re using the Forms x Flow integration by tweeting to us at @MicrosoftFlow
